Personal finance is the application of the principles of finance to the monetary decisions of an individual or family unit. It addresses the ways in which individuals or families obtain, budget, save, and spend monetary resources over time, taking into account various financial risks and future life events. Components of personal finance might include checking and savings accounts, credit cards and consumer loans, investments in the stock market, retirement plans, social security benefits, insurance policies, and income tax management.

Any suggestions on where to find an online personal finance planner for free?
Q. I would like to have a safeand secure, legit, personal finance tracker online. Basically where I can input debts and have access to assistance or tips, a way to keep up with my finances and get things on the right track. Any suggestions? I was scared to try some places because I wasn't sure if it is a safe and secure sight. Thanks!

Can anyone recommend any college level books on personal finance?

A. It would help to know what you mean by "college level." If you mean academically written, then no. If you mean simply maturely written, with sound info, there are several: All Your Worth by Elizabeth Warren Your Money Rules for Financial Freedom by Michael J Laurence (few chapters all should read, but then it's primarily a reference book) The Nine Steps to Financial Freedom Suze Orman The Road to Wealth Suze Orman The Laws of Money, the Lessons of Life by Suze Orman I don't think you'd go wrong with any of those.
